Y3 cross country

We went outside to support the Y3 children running in their cross country race.

Room 5s finished musical instruments made by up cycling some empty water bottles.

Well done Alicia! She was awarded the Principals certificate at full school assembly today. Well done.

Fire wise

The children have compared tools and toys.

They have been learning what to do in a fire - get down, get low, get out - fast. Stay out!

PE - creating games

The children worked collaboratively to create their own games. They had to decide on the equipment they wanted to use and what the rules of the game were going to be. They went outside and tried out their games and decided if they needed to make any modifications.

The children then came back into class to explain to their peers how to play their game. They talked about the rules and the adaptions they needed to make.

Musical instruments

Our up cycled bottle shakers are almost finished. Next week we will be using the hot glue gun to decorate them.

School production

The class really enjoyed dressing up on Monday and watching the school production, Robin of Sherwood.

The children used the net books to write letters to Mr Mulcahy. They were asking if we could become a waste wise school.

Show and tell.

The class enjoyed sharing their pictures today. I encouraged them to ask each other interesting questions. It was great for me to see all the exiting places they have been to and to learn more about what interests them.

Clever Campbell

Campbell was the Room 5 superstar who received the Principals certificate at full school assembly today. Well done Campbell.

Taking action

Room 5 looked at things we (humans) do every day and sorted them into 2 groups - things that are good for the planet and things that are bad for the planet. They had to explain why it was good or bad thing and what they could do differently to take action and help to save our planet.

Come and see our ideas on our topic wall.
