Harold, session 2

The children had their second session with Harriet and Harold today learning more about healthy eating and a balanced diet. 

Certificate winner

Well done Lauren! Great job being awarded the Principals certificate at Full School Assembly today. 

BBS art mural

Victor was part of the Art GATE class that made the amazing mural, which you can see outside R24. Victor painted the clam shell. Well done Victor, great job.

Life Education

R5 went to the life education caravan with Harriet and Harold to learn all about "Food for energy". We learnt what our body needs to survive and what a balanced diet is. 

Travel wise Black and White day

To promote using Zebra crossings safely the travel wise team organised a black and white day. The children also got to cross over the crossing with zebras. 

Survival kit

As part of our topic work we looked at things we need in an emergency survival kit. 

Art - making books

The children are making books. They are using the laptops to write the stories and then in art they are creating the illustrations. This week they planned their illustrations on a story board. 

Firewise

Two firefighters, Warren and Marty came to BBS on Tuesady to teach us more about being firewise. The children loved crawling under the smoke. 

Laptops

BBS have just bought lots of new laptops and Room 5 used them for the first time. It was great as everyone had a computer to themselves. They were writing narratives (stories) which are going to be made into books.
