Experiments

We found out if household substances were acids, base (alkaline) or neutral. 

We learnt what is inside a nappy to keep babies skin dry, 

We mixed a solid and liquid together and then the gas it produced blew up a balloon. 

The children got to make some gloop and then added another solid to make a bouncy ball.

Auckland University Science Trip

We have a fantastic day at the University learning about solids, liquids and gases. 

We started off in the big lecture theatre. 

We watched a science experiment on the big screen

Then we went into the lab to watch some experiments. We all had to wear googles and rubber gloves

We watched experiments with fruit

Balloons 

We had morning tea together

Then we went back into the lab to do some more experiments

The children worked in teams to solve 17 Maths problems together.
