Ginger Beer

This week we found out what makes soft drinks fizz.

On Monday we mixed all the ingredients together in a bucket and left it to stand over night. 

On Tuesday we strained it and bottled our Ginger Beer.

The bottle felt soft

We left it for three days and when the bottle went hard it was ready to drink. It was very fizzy. 

And it tasted great! 

Story time

Vanessa read the children a story this week when she came to help R5 at library time. 

Money week

This week BBS has a money week as part of encouraging the children to be financially literate.

Birthday treats

Emil and Sofia turned 7 today so Sofia brought in some treats for us to share. Thank you Sofia, they were delicous! 

Making popcorn

R5 wanted to find out why popcorn pops so we made some popcorn to help us with our scientific investigation. 

After we made the popcorn we compared uncooked popcorn kernels with cooked popcorn. Then we got to eat it, yum! 

Holiday treat

Charlie came back from her trip to England and brought us some Blackpool rock to try. It was yum.
